Hi, I am Dexter Kennedy, author of, "Taking on the NFL'. The National Martial Arts League", and "Team Point Fighting-In a Professional Martial Arts League.
Approximately 46 years ago I fought in my first karate tournament and even then, I had dreams of becoming a martial arts superstar. Like most, I was influenced by Bruce Lee. Fast forward 40 years and the new game is MMA and I would say only 10% of the industry will ever fight an MMA fight. So, to get the other 90% excited in martial arts again. I envisioned a martial arts team league like other major league sports. WIth COVID-19 and the current state of the economy its highly unlikely martial artists will embrace my new platform for a professional point martial arts league and therefore I am playing my league philosophy out in DK's KumiteSport, the video game.
To have this game developed it will cost $20,000. I am looking to raise those funds through an Indiegogo campaign. I will need 532 characters for the video game. The main [perk] if you make a pledge, is that of being a character in the video game itself. In addition to being a character, each video character will be added to the player card deck. That means you will have your likeness and statistics on a player card like was done with NFL and NBA player cards.
I will need both male and female competitors, team owners, judges, referees, coaches, and team managers.
Those that pledge for these [perks] will have their likeness, and special techniques portrayed in the game. Think of the video game like the Olympics where the US is competing against Russia or better yet the Carolina Panthers vs the New England Patriots but instead of eleven players on each team. In DK'sKumiteSport2020, teams will consist of 13 competitive positions, two management, and one team owner. The League will have thirty-two teams, each team competing for the National Championship -- The Kumite.
